Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 16468

It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out for the prayer for rain. On this occasion, he turned towards the Qibla, reversed his cloak, recited in a loud voice, and offered two rak'ahs.

حضرت عبداللہ بن زید (رض) سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نماز استسقاء کے لئے نکلے، اس موقع پر قبلہ کا رخ کر کے آپ نے اپنی چادر پلٹ لی تھی اور بلند آواز سے قرأت کر کے دو رکعتیں پڑھائی تھیں۔

Hazrat Abdullah bin Zaid (RA) se marvi hai ki aik martaba Nabi (SAW) namaz istasqa ke liye nikle, is mauqa par qibla ka rukh kar ke aap ne apni chadar palat li thi aur buland aawaz se qirat kar ke do rakaten parhayi thin.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" خَرَجَ، فَتَوَجَّهَ الْقِبْلَةَ يَدْعُو، وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ جَهَرَ فِيهِمَا بِالْقِرَاءَةِ".
