Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 16575
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Rabee’ah bin Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him) that I used to sleep in the blessed chamber of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) so that I could offer him water for wudu. I would hear him saying, “All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds,” for a long time when he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would wake up for prayer, and then he would say “Glory and praise be to Allah, the Most Great,” for a long time.

سیدنا ربیعہ بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نبی ﷺ کے حجرہ مبارکہ میں سویا کرتا تھا تاکہ وضو کا پانی پیش کر سکوں میں سنتا تھا کہ نبی ﷺ جب بھی نماز کے لئے بیدار ہوتے تو کافی دیر تک الحمد للہ رب العالمین کہتے رہتے پھر کافی دیر تک سبحان اللہ العظیم وبحمدہ کہتے رہتے۔
Sayyidina Rabia bin Kaab Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai keh mein Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hujra mubarakah mein soya karta tha taake wazu ka pani pesh kar sakun mein sunta tha keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab bhi namaz ke liye bedar hote to kafi der tak Alhamdulillah hi Rabbil Alameen kehte rehte phir kafi der tak Subhan Allahil Azeem Wa Bihamdihi kehte rehte.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَبِيتُ عِنْدَ بَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُعْطِيهِ وَضُوءَهُ، فَأَسْمَعُهُ بَعْدَ هَوِيٍّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، يَقُولُ:" سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ"، وَأَسْمَعُهُ بَعْدَ هَوِيٍّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، يَقُولُ:" الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ".
