Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 16576
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Rabee’ah bin Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him) that I used to sleep in the blessed chamber of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) so that I could bring him water for ablution. I used to hear that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) woke up for prayer, he would recite “Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen” (All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds) for a long time. Then he would recite “Subhanallahil adheem wa bihamdihi” (Glory be to Allah, the Most Great, and all praise is due to Him) for a long time.

سیدنا ربیعہ بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نبی ﷺ کے حجرہ مبارکہ میں سویا کرتا تھا تاکہ وضو کا پانی پیش کر سکوں، میں سنتا تھا کہ نبی ﷺ جب بھی نماز کے لئے بیدار ہوتے تو کافی دیر تک الحمد للہ رب العالمین کہتے رہتے، پھر کافی دیر تک سبحان اللہ العظیم وبحمدہ کہتے رہتے۔
Sayyidna Rabia bin Kaab Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki mein Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hujre mubarak mein soya karta tha takay wazu ka pani pesh kar sakun, mein sunta tha ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab bhi namaz ke liye bedar hote to kafi der tak Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen kehte rehte, phir kafi der tak Subhan Allahil Azeem Wa Bihamdihi kehte rehte.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَبِيتُ عِنْدَ بَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُعْطِيهِ وَضُوءَهُ، فَأَسْمَعُهُ بَعْدَ هَوِيٍّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، يَقُولُ:" سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ" وَالْهَوِيِّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، يَقُولُ:" الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ".
