Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 17266
It was narrated from Rafi' bin Khadij that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying: "Fever is from the heat of Hell, so cool it with water."

حضرت رافع رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ بخار جہنم کی تپش کا اثر ہوتا ہے، اس لئے اسے پانی سے ٹھنڈا کیا کرو۔
Hazrat Rafi (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki Bukhar jahannum ki tapish ka asar hota hai isliye ise pani se thanda kya karo.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: " الْحُمَّى مِنْ فَوْرِ جَهَنَّمَ، فَأَبْرِدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ" .
