Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18102
It is narrated by Ka'b bin Ajra (may Allah be pleased with him) that there were so many lice in my hair that I thought every hair on my head, from root to tip, was infested with lice. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw this condition, he ordered me to shave my head. And when the aforementioned verse was revealed, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Feed three saa's of dates to the needy."

حضرت کعب بن عجرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میرے سر میں اتنی جوئیں ہوگئیں کہ میرا خیال تھا میرے سرکے ہر بال میں جڑ سے لے کر شاخوں تک جوئیں بھری پڑی ہیں نبی کریم ﷺ نے یہ کیفیت دیکھ کر مجھے حکم دیا کہ بال منڈوالو اور مذکورہ آیت نازل ہوئی تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا چھ مسکینوں کو تین صاع کھجوریں کھلادو۔
Hazrat Kaab bin Ujrah RA se marvi hai ke mere sar mein itni jooen hogayin ke mera khayal tha mere sar ke har baal mein jadh se le kar shakhon tak jooen bhari pari hain Nabi Kareem SAW ne yeh kefiyat dekh kar mujhe hukum diya ke baal mundwa lo aur mazkora ayat nazil hui to Nabi Kareem SAW ne farmaya chh miskino ko teen sa'a khajoorein khila do.
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ ، قَالَ: قَمِلْتُ حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّ كُلَّ شَعْرَةٍ مِنْ رَأْسِي فِيهَا الْقَمْلُ مِنْ أَصْلِهَا إِلَى فَرْعِهَا، فَأَمَرَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ رَأَى ذَلِكَ، قَالَ: " احْلِقْ"، وَنَزَلَتْ الْآيَةُ، قَالَ:" أَطْعِمْ سِتَّةَ مَسَاكِينَ ثَلَاثَةَ آصُعٍ مِنْ تَمْرٍ" .
