Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18164
Amr bin Wahb (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once, we were with Mughirah bin Shubah (may Allah be pleased with him) when someone asked him, "Besides Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), has there been anyone else in this Ummah whom the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) followed in prayer?" Mughirah replied, "Yes! Once, we were traveling with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). In the morning, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) knocked on my tent door. I understood that he wanted to go out to relieve himself, so I went out with him. We walked until we were at a distance from the people. Then, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) dismounted from his ride and went to relieve himself, disappearing from my sight. I couldn't see him anymore. After a short while, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned and said, 'Mughirah! You too, relieve yourself.' I replied, 'I don't need to right now.' The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, 'Do you have water?' I replied, 'Yes!' and, saying this, I went to bring the water skin that was hanging on the back of the camel. I presented the water to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and continued to pour it for him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) first washed both his hands thoroughly, then his face. After that, he began to roll up his sleeves from his forearms, but the sleeves of his Syrian cloak were narrow, so they couldn't be pulled up. So, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took both his hands out from below and washed his face and hands, wiped his head up to his forehead, wiped his turban, wiped over his leather socks, and then mounted his ride for our return. When we reached the people, the prayer had already begun, and Abdur Rahman bin Auf (may Allah be pleased with him) had led one Rak'ah and was in the second. When I went forward to tell him, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stopped me. We prayed the Rak'ah that we found, and after the Salam, we completed the one that we had missed."

عمرو بن وہب رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ حضرت مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ تھے کہ کسی شخص نے ان سے پوچھا حضرت ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ کے علاوہ اس امت میں کوئی اور بھی ایسا شخص ہوا ہے جس کی امامت میں نبی کریم ﷺ نے نماز پڑھی ہو؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا ہاں! ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ کسی سفر میں تھے صبح کے وقت نبی کریم ﷺ نے میرے خیمے کا دروازہ بجایا میں سمجھ گیا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ قضاء حاجت کے لئے جانا چاہتے ہیں چناچہ میں نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ نکل پڑا یہاں تک کہ ہم لوگ چلتے چلتے لوگوں سے دور چلے گئے۔ پھر نبی کریم ﷺ اپنی سواری سے اترے اور قضاء حاجت کے لئے چلے گئے اور میری نظروں سے غائب ہوگئے اب میں نبی کریم ﷺ کو نہیں دیکھ سکتا تھا تھوڑی دیر گذرنے کے بعد نبی کریم ﷺ واپس آئے اور فرمایا مغیرہ! تم بھی اپنی ضرورت پوری کرلو میں نے عرض کیا کہ مجھے اس وقت حاجت نہیں ہے نبی کریم ﷺ نے پوچھا کیا تمہارے پاس پانی ہے؟ میں نے عرض کیا جی ہاں! اور یہ کہہ کر میں وہ مشکیزہ لانے چلا گیا جو کجاوے کے پچھلے حصے میں لٹکا ہوا تھا میں نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں پانی لے حاضر ہوا اور پانی ڈالتا رہا نبی کریم ﷺ نے پہلے دونوں ہاتھ خوب اچھی طرح دھوئے پھر چہرہ دھویا۔ اس کے بعد نبی کریم ﷺ اپنے بازؤوں سے آستینیں اوپر چڑھانے لگے لیکن نبی کریم ﷺ نے جو شامی جبہ زیب تن فرما رکھا تھا ' اس کی آستینیں تنگ تھیں اس لئے وہ اوپر نہ ہوسکیں چناچہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے دونوں ہاتھ نیچے سے نکال لئے اور چہرہ اور ہاتھ دھوئے پیشانی کی مقدار سر پر مسح کیا اپنے عمامے پر مسح کیا اور موزوں پر مسح کیا اور واپسی کے لئے سوار ہوگئے جب ہم لوگوں کے پاس پہنچے تو نماز کھڑی ہوچکی تھی اور حضرت عبدالرحمن بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ آگے بڑھ کر ایک رکعت پڑھا چکے تھے اور دوسری رکعت میں تھے میں انہیں بتانے کے لئے جانے لگا تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے مجھے روک دیا اور ہم نے جو رکعت پائی وہ تو پڑھ لی اور جو رہ گئی تھی اسے (سلام پھرنے کے بعد) ادا کیا۔
Amr bin Wahab rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke aik martaba hum log Hazrat Mughirah bin Shaaba (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke sath the ke kisi shakhs ne unse poocha Hazrat Abubakar Siddique (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke ilawa is ummat mein koi aur bhi aisa shakhs hua hai jis ki imamat mein Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne namaz parhi ho? Unhon ne jawab diya Haan! Ek martaba hum log Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath kisi safar mein the subah ke waqt Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mere khaime ka darwaza bajaya main samjha gaya ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) qaza hajat ke liye jana chahte hain chunache main Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath nikal pada yahan tak ke hum log chalte chalte logon se door chale gaye. Phir Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apni sawari se utre aur qaza hajat ke liye chale gaye aur meri nazron se ghaib hogaye ab main Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko nahin dekh sakta tha thori der guzarne ke baad Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) wapas aaye aur farmaya Mughirah! Tum bhi apni zaroorat poori karlo maine arz kiya ke mujhe is waqt hajat nahin hai Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne poocha kya tumhare pas pani hai? Maine arz kiya ji haan! Aur yeh keh kar main woh mashkizah lane chala gaya jo kajave ke peechle hisse mein latka hua tha main Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein pani le haazir hua aur pani dalta raha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne pehle donon hath khoob achhi tarah dhoye phir chehra dhoya. Iske baad Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apne bazuon se aastinen upar chadane lage lekin Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne jo shami jabba zeb tan farma rakha tha' uski aastinen tang thin isliye woh upar na hoskin chunache Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne donon hath neeche se nikal liye aur chehra aur hath dhoye peshani ki miqdar sar par masah kiya apne amame par masah kiya aur mozon par masah kiya aur wapsi ke liye sawar hogaye jab hum logon ke pas pahunche to namaz khadi hochuki thi aur Hazrat Abdul Rahman bin Auf (رضي الله تعالى عنه) aage badh kar ek rakat parha chuke the aur doosri rakat mein the main unhen batane ke liye jane laga to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujhe rok diya aur humne jo rakat paai woh to parh li aur jo reh gayi thi use (salam pherne ke baad) ada kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ مَسْجِدَ الْجَامِعِ، فَإِذَا عَمْرُو بْنُ وَهْبٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ قَدْ دَخَلَ مِنَ النَّاحِيَةِ الْأُخْرَى، فَالْتَقَيْنَا قَرِيبًا مِنْ وَسَطِ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَابْتَدَأَنِي بِالْحَدِيثِ، وَكَانَ يُحِبُّ مَا سَاقَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ، فَابْتَدَأَنِي بِالْحَدِيثِ، فَقَالَ: كُنَّا عِنْدَ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، فَزَادَهُ فِي نَفْسِي تَصْدِيقًا الَّذِي قَرَّبَ بِهِ الْحَدِيثَ، قَالَ: قُلْنَا: هَلْ أَمَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ غَيْرَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، كُنَّا فِي سَفَرِ كَذَا وَكَذَا، فَلَمَّا كَانَ فِي السَّحَرِ، ضَرَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عُنُقَ رَاحِلَتِهِ، وَانْطَلَقَ فَتَبِعْتُهُ، فَتَغَيَّبَ عَنِّي سَاعَةً، ثُمَّ جَاءَ، فَقَالَ:" حَاجَتَكَ؟" فَقُلْتُ: لَيْسَتْ لِي حَاجَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ. قَالَ:" هَلْ مِنْ مَاءٍ؟" قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، فَصَبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ، " فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ يَحْسِرُ عَنْ ذِرَاعَيْهِ، وَكَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ لَهُ شَامِيَّةٌ، فَضَاقَتْ، فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَيْهِ، فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا مِنْ تَحْتِ الْجُبَّةِ، فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ، وَغَسَلَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ، وَمَسَحَ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْعِمَامَةِ، وَعَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ. ثُمَّ لَحِقْنَا النَّاسَ وَقَدْ أُقِيمَتْ الصَّلَاةُ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ يَؤُمُّهُمْ، وَقَدْ صَلَّى رَكْعَةً، فَذَهَبْتُ لِأُوذِنَهُ، فَنَهَانِي، فَصَلَّيْنَا الَّتِي أَدْرَكْنَا، وَقَضَيْنَا الَّتِي سُبِقْنَا بِهَا" ..
