Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18308
It is narrated on the authority of Salman bin Sard (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of the Trench (upon returning), the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Now we will take the initiative and fight them, and they will never be able to take the initiative against us again."

حضرت سلیمان بن صرد رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے غزوہ خندق کے دن (واپسی پر) ارشاد فرمایا اب ہم ان پر پیش قدمی کرکے جہاد کریں گے اور یہ ہمارے خلاف اب کبھی پیش قدمی نہیں کرسکیں گے۔
Hazrat Suleman bin Sard RA se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem SAW ne Ghazwa Khandaq ke din (wapsi par) irshad farmaya ab hum un par pesh qadmi karke jihad karenge aur ye hamare khilaf ab kabhi pesh qadmi nahin karsakenge.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ صُرَدٍ يَقُولُ. ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ، قَالَ يَحْيَى: يَعْنِي يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ: " الْآنَ نَغْزُوهُمْ وَلَا يَغْزُونَا" .
