Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18404
Numan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that we had the honor of being in the company of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and we heard him saying: The first trials of the Day of Judgment will be revealed like the parts of a dark night. In that time, a person will be a Muslim in the morning and a disbeliever in the evening, or a Muslim in the evening and a disbeliever in the morning. And people will sell their religion and morals in exchange for a paltry sum of worldly goods. Hasan (another narrator) said: By Allah! We are seeing those people. They have the forms (of human beings) but no intellect, they have bodies but no wisdom. They are like moths to a flame and flies to filth, who are happy with two dirhams morning and evening and are ready to sell their religion for the price of a goat.

حضرت نعمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ہم نے نبی کریم ﷺ کی ہم نشینی کا شرف حاصل کیا ہے اور نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ قیامت کے پہلے فتنے اس طرح رونماہوں گے جیسے تاریک رات کے حصے ہوتے ہیں اس زمانے میں ایک آدمی صبح کو مسلمان اور شام کو کافر ہوگا یا شام کو مسلمان اور صبح کو کافر ہوگا اور لوگ اپنے دین و اخلاق کو دنیا کے ذرا سے مال ومتاع کے عوض بیچ دیں گے۔ حسن کہتے ہیں کہ بخدا! ہم ان لوگوں کو دیکھ رہے ہیں ان کی شکلیں تو ہیں لیکن عقل نام کو نہیں، جسم تو ہیں لیکن دانائی کا نام نہیں یہ آگ کے پروانے اور حرص وہوا کی مکھیاں ہیں جو صبح وشام دو دو درہم لے کر خوش ہوجاتے ہیں اور ایک بکری کی قیمت کے عوض اپنا دین فروخت کرنے کے لئے تیار ہوجاتے ہیں۔
Hazrat Numaan (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki hum ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki hum nishini ka sharaf hasil kiya hai aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki qayamat ke pehle fitne is tarah ronuma honge jaise tareek raat ke hisse hote hain is zamane mein ek aadmi subah ko musalman aur sham ko kafir hoga ya sham ko musalman aur subah ko kafir hoga aur log apne deen o akhlaq ko duniya ke zarra se maal o mata ke badle bech denge. Hassan kehte hain ki Bukhada! hum un logon ko dekh rahe hain un ki shaklein to hain lekin aql naam ko nahin, jism to hain lekin danaai ka naam nahin ye aag ke parwane aur haris hawa ki makhiyan hain jo subah o sham do do dirham le kar khush hojate hain aur ek bakri ki qeemat ke awaz apna deen farokht karne ke liye tayyar hojate hain.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، قَالَ: صَحِبْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَسَمِعْنَاهُ يَقُولُ" إِنَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ السَّاعَةِ فِتَنًا كَأَنَّهَا قِطَعُ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ، يُصْبِحُ الرَّجُلُ فِيهَا مُؤْمِنًا، ثُمَّ يُمْسِي كَافِرًا، وَيُمْسِي مُؤْمِنًا، ثُمَّ يُصْبِحُ كَافِرًا، يَبِيعُ أَقْوَامٌ خَلَاقَهُمْ بِعَرَضٍ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا يَسِيرٍ، أَوْ بِعَرَضِ الدُّنْيَا" . قَالَ الْحَسَنُ: وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْنَاهُمْ صُوَرًا وَلَا عُقُولَ، أَجْسَامًا وَلَا أَحْلَامَ، فَرَاشَ نَارٍ وَذِبَّانَ طَمَعٍ، يَغْدُونَ بِدِرْهَمَيْنِ، وَيَرُوحُونَ بِدِرْهَمَيْنِ، يَبِيعُ أَحَدُهُمْ دَيْنَهُ بِثَمَنِ الْعَنْزِ.
