Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18435
Narrated by Nauman (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, when he (the Prophet) came to lead us in prayer, he saw a man whose chest was protruding from the row. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Straighten your rows, and do not stand unevenly, or else there will be discord in your hearts as well."

حضرت نعمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ ہمیں نماز پڑھانے کے لئے آئے تو ایک آدمی کو دیکھا کہ اس کا سینہ صف سے باہر نکلا ہوا ہے نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا برابر ہوجاؤ، آگے پیچھے مت ہوا کرو ورنہ تمہارے دلوں میں بھی اختلاف پیدا ہوجائے گا۔
Hazrat Noman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba hamen namaz parhane ke liye aaye to ek aadmi ko dekha ki uska seena saf se bahar nikla hua hai Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya barabar hojao, aage peeche mat hua karo warna tumhare dilon mein bhi ikhtilaf paida hojaega.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِير ، قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَرَأَى رَجُلًا خَارِجًا صَدْرُهُ مِنَ الصَّفِّ، فَقَالَ: " اسْتَوُوا، وَلَا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ" .
