Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18580
It is narrated on the authority of Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made a peace treaty with the people of Makkah on the condition that they would be allowed to enter Makkah only with weapons in their sheaths, meaning scabbards and swords.

حضرت براء رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے اہل مکہ سے اس شرط پر صلح کی تھی کہ وہ مکہ مکرمہ میں صرف جلبان سلاح " لے کر مکہ مکرمہ میں داخل ہوسکیں گے، یعنی میان اور تلوار۔
Hazrat Bara RA se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem SAW ne ahl Makkah se is shart par sulh ki thi keh woh Makkah Mukarramah mein sirf jilban silah "le kar Makkah Mukarramah mein dakhil ho sakenge, yani miyan aur talwar.
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ: " كَانَ فِيمَا اشْتَرَطَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلَهَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ بِسِلَاحٍ، إِلَّا سِلَاحٍ فِي قِرَابٍ" .
