Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18587
It is narrated on the authority of Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When you go to your bed, say these words: "O Allah, I have entrusted myself to You, I have turned my face to You, I have entrusted my affairs to You, and I have taken Your support, seeking Your pleasure and fearing Your wrath. There is no refuge or shelter except with You. I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and Your Prophet whom You have sent." If a person dies on that very night, he will die on the state of Fitrah (natural belief in Allah). This hadith is also narrated from another chain. However, it has the following addition at the end: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Perform ablution for prayer and say these words at the very end." I (the narrator) repeated these words in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When I reached "I believe in Your Book which You have revealed," I said, "and Your Messenger." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "No, say: "and Your Prophet whom You have sent."

حضرت براء رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا جب تم اپنے بستر پر آیا کرو تو یوں کہہ لیا کرو اے اللہ میں نے اپنے آپ کو تیرے حوالے کردیا اپنے چہرے کو تیری طرف متوجہ کرلیا اپنے معاملات کو تیرے سپرد کردیا اور اپنی پشت کا تجھ ہی کو سہارا بنا لیا تیری ہی رغبت ہے تجھ ہی سے ڈر ہے تیرے علاوہ کوئی ٹھکانہ اور پناہ گاہ نہیں میں تیری اس کتاب پر ایمان لے آیا جو تو نے نازل کی اور اس نبی پر جسے تو نے بھیج دیا اگر یہ کلمات کہنے والا اسی رات میں مرگئے توفطرت پر مروگے۔ گزشتہ حدیث اس دوسری سند سے بھی مروی ہے۔ البتہ اس کے آخر میں یہ بھی اضافہ ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا نماز والا وضو کیا کرو اور ان کلمات کو سب سے آخر میں کہا کرو، میں نے نبی کریم کے سامنے ان کلمات کو دہرایا جب میں آمنت بکتابک الذی انزلت پر پہنچا تو میں نے وبرسولک کہہ دیا نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا نہیں وبنبیک کہو۔
Hazrat Bara RA se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem SAW ne farmaya jab tum apne bistar per aya karo to yun keh liya karo aye Allah mein ne apne aap ko tere hawale kardiya apne chehre ko teri taraf mutawajjah karliya apne mamlaat ko tere supurd kardiya aur apni pusht ka tuj hi ko sahaara bana liya teri hi ragbat hai tuj hi se dar hai tere alawa koi thikana aur panaah gah nahi mein teri is kitab per eman le aya jo tu ne nazil ki aur is nabi per jise tu ne bheja diya agar ye kalmaat kehny wala isi raat mein mar jaye to fitrat per maroge guzishta hadees is dusri sand se bhi marvi hai albatta is ke akhir mein ye bhi izafa hai keh Nabi Kareem SAW ne farmaya namaz wala wuzu kya karo aur in kalmaat ko sab se akhir mein kaha karo mein ne Nabi Kareem ke samne in kalmaat ko dohrahya jab mein amantu bikitabik allazi anzalt per pahuncha to mein ne wa rasoolik keh diya Nabi Kareem SAW ne farmaya nahi wa binabik kaho.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عِيَاضٍ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" إِذَا أَوَيْتَ إِلَى فِرَاشِكَ، فَتَوَضَّأْ، وَنَمْ عَلَى شِقِّكَ الْأَيْمَنِ، وَقُلْ: اللَّهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ، وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ، وَأَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ، رَهْبَةً وَرَغْبَةً إِلَيْكَ، لَا مَلْجَأَ وَلَا مَنْجَا مِنْكَ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ، آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ وَبِنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ، فَإِنْ مُتَّ، مُتَّ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ" ..
