Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18651
It is narrated on the authority of Buraidah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) instructed an Ansari man that when he goes to his bed, he should say: "O Allah, I have entrusted myself to You, turned my face towards You, entrusted my affairs to You, and made You the support of my back. It is Your pleasure that I seek and Your punishment that I fear. There is no refuge and shelter but with You. I have believed in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If the one who says these words dies that night, he will die on the path of nature (Fitrah). And if he lives until the morning, he will wake up with abundant goodness."

حضرت براء رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک انصاری کو حکم دیا کہ جب وہ اپنے بستر پر آیا کرے تو یوں کہہ لیا کرے اے اللہ میں نے اپنے آپ کو تیرے حوالے کردیا اپنے چہرے کو تیری طرف متوجہ کرلیا اپنے معاملات کو تیرے سپرد کردیا اور اپنی پشت کا تجھ ہی کو سہارا بنا لیا تیری ہی رغبت ہے تجھ ہی سے ڈر ہے تیرے علاوہ کوئی ٹھکانہ اور پناہ گاہ نہیں میں تیری اس کتاب پر ایمان لے آیا جو تو نے نازل کی اور اس نبی پر جسے تو نے بھیج دیا اگر یہ کلمات کہنے والا اسی رات میں مرجائے تو وہ فطرت پر مروگے۔ اگر صبح پالی تو خیر کثیر کے ساتھ صبح کروگے۔
Hazrat Bara raziallahu anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne aik ansari ko hukum diya ki jab wo apne bistar par aya kare to yun keh liya kare aye Allah maine apne aap ko tere hawale kar diya apne chehre ko teri taraf mutawajja kar liya apne mamlat ko tere supurd kar diya aur apni pusht ka tuj hi ko sahaara bana liya teri hi ragbat hai tuj hi se dar hai tere alawa koi thikana aur panah gah nahi main teri is kitab par iman le aya jo tu ne nazil ki aur is nabi par jise tu ne bheja agar ye kalmat kehny wala isi raat mein mar jaye to wo fitrat par maroge agar subah pali to khair kaseer ke sath subah karoge
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَن سُفْيَانَ ، عَن أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَن الْبَرَاءِ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ:" إِذَا أَوَيْتَ إِلَى فِرَاشِكَ فَقُلْ: اللَّهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ، وَأَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ، وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ، رَغْبَةً وَرَهْبَةً إِلَيْكَ، لَا مَلْجَأَ وَلَا مَنْجَا إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ، آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ، وَبِنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ، فَإِنْ مُتَّ، مُتَّ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ، وَإِنْ أَصْبَحْتَ، أَصْبَحْتَ وَقَدْ أَصَبْتَ خَيْرًا" .
