Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18662
It is narrated on the authority of Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the digging of the trench, he saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) carrying soil with the people.

حضرت براء رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کو خندق کی کھدائی کے موقع پر دیکھا کہ آپ ﷺ کو خندق کی کھدائی کے موقع پر دیکھا کہ آپ ﷺ لوگوں کے ساتھ مٹی اٹھاتے جارہے ہیں۔
Hazrat Bara raziallahu anhu se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko khandaq ki khudai ke mauqe par dekha ke aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko khandaq ki khudai ke mauqe par dekha ke aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) logon ke sath mitti uthate ja rahe hain.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَن أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ ، قَالَ:" رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ يَنْقُلُ التُّرَابَ، وَقَدْ وَارَى التُّرَابُ شَعَرَ صَدْرِهِ" .
