Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18682
It is narrated on the authority of Bura' رضى الله عنه that he saw the Holy Prophet ﷺ raising his hands at the time of starting prayer. At that time, the thumbs of the Holy Prophet ﷺ were in line with the earlobes.

حضرت براء رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کو افتتاح نماز کے موقع پر رفع یدین کرتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے اس وقت نبی کریم ﷺ کے انگوٹھے کانوں کی لو کے برابر ہوتے تھے۔
Hazrat Bara RA se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem SAW ko iftitah namaz ke mauqe par rafay yadain karte hue dekha hai us waqt Nabi Kareem SAW ke ungoothey kaano ki lou ke barabar hote thay.
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَن عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ، رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى تَكُونَ إِبْهَامَاهُ حِذَاءَ أُذُنَيْهِ" .
