Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18870
Narrated Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I was in the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so I thought that I would definitely see how the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prays. So the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) faced the Qibla, said Takbir, and raised both hands to his shoulders. Then he held his left hand with his right hand. When he intended to bow, he raised his hands to his shoulders and put both hands on his knees in prostration. When he raised his head from prostration, he raised his hands to his shoulders and when he went into prostration, he placed his hands near his face, and when he sat down, he spread his left foot and raised his right foot. And put the left hand on the left knee and placed the elbow limit on the right thigh and made a circle of thirty numbers and pointed with the index finger. After a while I came again, it was the winter season. I saw that people were wearing sheets and due to the cold they were moving their hands from under the sheets.

حضرت وائل رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تو سوچا کہ میں یہ ضرور دیکھوں گا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کس طرح نماز پڑھتے ہیں چناچہ نبی کریم نے قبلہ کی طرف رخ کرکے تکبیر کہی اور دونوں ہاتھ کندھوں کے برابر بلند کئے پھر دائیں ہاتھ سے بائیں ہاتھ کو پکڑ لیا، جب رکوع کا ارادہ کیا تو پھر رفع یدین کرتے ہوئے اپنے ہاتھوں کو کندھوں تک برابر بلند کیا اور رکوع میں اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اپنے دونوں گھٹنوں پر رکھ دیئے جب رکوع سے سر اٹھایا تو پھر رفع یدین کرتے ہوئے اپنے ہاتھوں کو کندھوں تک برابر بلند کیا اور جب سجدے میں گئے تو اپنے ہاتھوں کو چہرے کے قریب رکھ دیا اور جب بیٹھے توبائیں پاؤں کو بچھا کر دائیں پاؤں کو کھڑا کرلیا اور بائیں ہاتھ کو بائیں گھٹنے پر رکھ لیا اور کہنی کی حد کو دائیں ران پر رکھ لیا اور تیس کے عدد کا دائرہ بنا کر حلقہ بنالیا اور شہادت کی انگلی سے اشارہ فرمایا: کچھ عرصے بعد میں دوبارہ آیا تو وہ سردی کا موسم تھا میں نے دیکھا کہ لوگوں نے چادریں اوڑھ رکھی ہیں اور سردی کی وجہ سے وہ اپنے ہاتھوں کو چادروں کے نیچے سے ہی حرکت دے رہے ہیں۔
Hazrat Wael razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki main Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hua to socha ki main yeh zaroor dekhon ga ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kis tarah namaz parhte hain chunancha Nabi Kareem ne qibla ki taraf rukh karke takbeer kahi aur donon hath kandhon ke barabar buland kiye phir dain hath se baen hath ko pakad liya, jab rukoo ka irada kiya to phir rafay yadain karte huye apne hathon ko kandhon tak barabar buland kiya aur rukoo mein apne donon hath apne donon ghutnon par rakh diye jab rukoo se sar uthaya to phir rafay yadain karte huye apne hathon ko kandhon tak barabar buland kiya aur jab sajde mein gaye to apne hathon ko chehre ke qareeb rakh diya aur jab baithe to baen paaon ko bichha kar dain paaon ko khara kar liya aur baen hath ko baen ghutne par rakh liya aur kahani ki had ko dain ran par rakh liya aur tees ke adad ka daira bana kar halqa bana liya aur shahadat ki ungli se ishara farmaya: kuch arsa baad mein dobara aaya to woh sardi ka mausam tha maine dekha ki logon ne chadaren odh rakhi hain aur sardi ki wajah se woh apne hathon ko chadron ke neeche se hi harkat de rahe hain.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ، أَنَّ وَائِلَ بْنَ حُجْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيَّ أخْبَرَهُ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: لَأَنْظُرَنَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَيْفَ يُصَلِّي، قَالَ:" فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ، قَامَ، فَكَبَّرَ، وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى حَاذَتَا أُذُنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى ظَهْرِ كَفِّهِ الْيُسْرَى وَالرُّسْغِ وَالسَّاعِدِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: لَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ مِثْلَهَا، وَوَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ، فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ مِثْلَهَا، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ، فَجَعَلَ كَفَّيْهِ بِحِذَاءِ أُذُنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَعَدَ، فَافْتَرَشَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى، فَوَضَعَ كَفَّهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ وَرُكْبَتِهِ الْيُسْرَى، وَجَعَلَ حَدَّ مِرْفَقِهِ الأَْيْمَنِ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى، ثُمَّ قَبَضَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ، فَحَلَّقَ حَلْقَةً، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ إِصْبَعَه، فَرَأَيْتُهُ يُحَرِّكُهَا يَدْعُو بِهَا، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فِي زَمَانٍ فِيهِ بَرْدٌ، فَرَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ عَلَيْهِمْ الثِّيَابُ تُحَرَّكُ أَيْدِيهِمْ مِنْ تَحْتِ الثِّيَابِ مِنَ الْبَرْدِ" .
