Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18925
It is narrated on the authority of Marwan (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had a hand cut off for stealing a shield, and a camel is superior to a shield.

حضرت مروان رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک ڈھال چوری کرنے پر ہاتھ کاٹ دیا تھا تو اونٹ تو ڈھال سے افضل ہے۔
Hazrat Marwan (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek dhaal chori karne par hath kaat diya tha to unt to dhaal se afzal hai.
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ عِرَاكٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مَرْوَانَ بِالْمَوْسِمِ يَقُولُ:" إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَطَعَ فِي مِجَنٍّ، وَالْبَعِيرُ أَفْضَلُ مِنَ الْمِجَنِّ" .
