The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 1912
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: Once I spent the night at the house of my paternal aunt, Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) woke up during the night, performed ablution lightly, and stood up (for prayer). Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) did the same and joined the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) turned him to his right side, and then they offered prayer together. After the prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) lay down until he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) started snoring. Then, when the Mu'adh-dhin (the one who calls to prayer) came, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) got up for prayer and did not perform ablution again.
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے اپنی خالہ سیدہ میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس رات گذاری، نبی ﷺ رات کے کسی حصے میں بیدار ہوئے، ہلکا سا وضو کر کے کھڑے ہوگئے، سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بھی اسی طرح کیا اور آکر نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ نماز میں شریک ہوگئے، نبی ﷺ نے انہیں گھما کر اپنی دائیں طرف کر لیا، پھر انہوں نے نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی، اس کے بعد نبی ﷺ لیٹ گئے یہاں تک کہ آپ ﷺ خراٹے لینے لگے، پھر جب مؤذن آیا تو آپ ﷺ نماز کے لئے کھڑے ہوگئے اور دوبارہ وضو نہیں فرمایا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba maine apni khala Sayyida Maymunah ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ke pass raat guzari, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) raat ke kisi hisse mein bedar hue, halka sa wazu kar ke kharde hogaye, Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne bhi isi tarah kiya aur akar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath namaz mein sharik hogaye, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhein ghuma kar apni dayen taraf kar liya, phir unhonne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath namaz padhi, is ke bad Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) lait gaye yahan tak ki Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kharate lene lage, phir jab muazzin aaya to Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) namaz ke liye kharde hogaye aur dobara wazu nahin farmaya.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ، فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، قَالَ:" فَتَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءًا خَفِيفًا، فَقَامَ فَصَنَعَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ كَمَا صَنَعَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى، فَحَوَّلَهُ فَجَعَلَهُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ اضْطَجَعَ حَتَّى نَفَخَ , فَأَتَاهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ".
