Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19311
Ata' رحمۃ اللہ علیہ said that once Ibn 'Abbas رضی اللہ عنہ asked Zayd bin Arqam رضی اللہ عنہ, "How did you narrate to me that while in the state of Ihram, a gift was presented to the Prophet ﷺ, but the Prophet ﷺ did not accept it?" He replied, "Yes! It was like that."

عطاء رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ نے حضرت زید بن ارقم رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا کہ آپ نے مجھے وہ بات کیسے بتائی تھی کہ حالت احرام میں نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں ہدیہ پیش کیا گیا لیکن نبی کریم ﷺ نے اسے قبول نہیں فرمایا؟ انہوں نے کہا ہاں! اسی طرح ہے۔
Ata rahmatullah allah kehte hain ke ek martaba Hazrat Ibn Abbas razi Allah anhu ne Hazrat Zaid bin Arqam razi Allah anhu se kaha ke aap ne mujhe wo baat kaise batai thi ke halat ehram mein Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hadiya pesh kiya gaya lekin Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use qubool nahin farmaya? Unhon ne kaha haan! Isi tarah hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا قَيْسٌ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: يَا زَيْدُ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ ، أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوُ صَيْدٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ، فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهُ؟ قَالَ: بَلَى .
