The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 1934
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No man should be alone with a woman who is not permissible for him, and no woman should travel without a mahram." A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "My wife is going for Hajj, and my name has been registered for Jihad in such and such an army?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Go and perform Hajj with your wife."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”کوئی شخص کسی اجنبی عورت کے ساتھ خلوت میں نہ بیٹھے، اور کوئی عورت محرم کے بغیر سفر نہ کرے۔“ ایک آدمی نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہو کر عرض کرنے لگا کہ میری بیوی حج کے لئے جا رہی ہے جبکہ میرا نام فلاں لشکر میں جہاد کے لئے لکھ لیا گیا ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جاؤ، جا کر اپنی بیوی کے ساتھ حج کرو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: “Koi shakhs kisi ajnabi aurat ke sath khalwat mein na baithe, aur koi aurat mehram ke baghair safar na kare.” Ek aadmi Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir ho kar arz karne laga ki meri biwi Hajj ke liye ja rahi hai jabke mera naam falaan lashkar mein jihad ke liye likh liya gaya hai? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Jao, ja kar apni biwi ke sath Hajj karo.”
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْبَدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" لَا يَخْلُوَنَّ رَجُلٌ بِامْرَأَةٍ، وَلَا تُسَافِرُ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَّا وَمَعَهَا ذُو مَحْرَمٍ"، وَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ إِنَّ امْرَأَتِي خَرَجَتْ إِلَى الْحَجِّ، وَإِنِّي اكْتَتَبْتُ فِي غَزْوَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا، قَالَ:" انْطَلِقْ فَاحْجُجْ مَعَ امْرَأَتِكَ".
