Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19393

Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), “O Messenger of Allah! We set loose our trained dogs for hunting.” The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Feed it (the dog).” I said, “Even if it hunts down (the game)?” The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, “Yes, provided no other dog has shared it with it.” I asked about the game that is hit by the breadth of an arrow. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “You can eat the game which you hit with the sharp edge of the arrow but do not eat the one which is hit by the breadth of the arrow.”

حضرت عدی بن حاتم رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ ہم اپنے سدھائے ہوئے کتے شکار پر چھوڑتے ہیں؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اسے کھالیا کرو میں نے عرض کیا اگرچہ وہ اسے ماردے؟ نبی کریم نے فرمایا ہاں! بشرطیکہ دوسرے کتے اس کے ساتھ شریک نہ ہوئے ہوں میں نے اس شکار کے متعلق پوچھا جو تیر کی چوڑائی سے مرجائے تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا جس شکار کو تم نے تیر کی دھار سے ماراہو تو اسے کھاسکتے ہو لیکن جسے تیر کی چوڑائی سے مارا ہو اسے مت کھاؤ۔

Hazrat Adi bin Hatim Radi Allaho Anhu se marvi hai ke maine Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam se arz kiya Ya Rasool Allah hum apne sudhaye huye kutte shikar per chorte hain? Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya ise khila diya karo maine arz kiya halankeh wo ise maar de? Nabi Kareem ne farmaya haan! basharte keh doosre kutte is ke sath sharik na huye hon maine is shikar ke mutalliq poocha jo teer ki choraayi se mar jaye to Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya jis shikar ko tumne teer ki dhaar se mara ho to ise kha sakte ho lekin jise teer ki choraayi se mara ho use mat khao.

حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَن هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أُرْسِلُ كَلْبِي الْمُكَلَّبَ؟ قَالَ: " إِذَا أَرْسَلْتَ كَلْبَكَ الْمُكَلَّبَ، وَذَكَرْتَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ، فَأَمْسَكَ عَلَيْكَ، فَكُلْ"، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: وَإِنْ قَتَلَ؟ قَالَ:" وَإِنْ قَتَلَ، مَا لَمْ يُشَارِكْهُ كَلْبٌ غَيْرُهُ"، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، فَأَرْمِي بِالْمِعْرَاضِ؟ قَالَ:" مَا خَزَقَ، فَكُلْ، وَمَا أَصَابَ بِعَرْضِهِ، فَقَتَلَ، فَلَا تَأْكُلْ" ..
