Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19466
It is narrated on the authority of Sharif Radi Allahu Anhu that his mother advised him to free a Muslim slave on her behalf. He asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about it, saying that I have a slave girl from Nubia, a region of Abyssinia, can I set her free? The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Bring her to me. I called her and she came. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asked her: Who is your Lord? She said: Allah. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asked: Who am I? She replied: You are the Messenger of Allah. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Set her free, she is a Muslim.

حضرت شرید رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ انہیں ان کی والدہ نے یہ وصیت کی کہ ان کی طرف سے ایک مسلمان غلام آزاد کردیں انہوں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے اس کے متعلق پوچھتے ہوئے کہا کہ میرے پاس حبشہ کے ایک علاقے نوبیہ کی ایک باندی ہے کیا میں اسے آزاد کرسکتا ہوں؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اسے لے کر آؤ میں نے اسے بلایا وہ آگئی نبی کریم ﷺ نے اس سے پوچھا تیرا رب کون ہے؟ اس نے کہا اللہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے پوچھا میں کون ہوں۔؟ اس نے جواب دیا آپ اللہ کے رسول ہیں نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اسے آزاد کردو یہ مسلمان ہے۔
Hazrat Shahreed Razi Allaho Anho se marvi hai ki unhen un ki walida ne ye wasiyat ki ke un ki taraf se ek musalman ghulam azad kardein unhon ne Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam se iske mutalliq pochhte hue kaha ke mere pass Habsha ke ek ilaqay Nubia ki ek bandi hai kya main ise azad karsakta hun? Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne farmaya ise lekar aao maine ise bulaya wo aa gayi Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne is se poocha tera Rabb kaun hai? Isne kaha Allah Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne poocha main kaun hun? Isne jawab diya aap Allah ke Rasool hain Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne farmaya ise azad kardo ye musalman hai.
حَدَّثَنَا مُهَنَّأُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: قَالَ أَبِي: كُنْيَتُهُ: أَبُو شِبْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ الشَّرِيدِ ، أَنَّ أُمَّهُ أَوْصَتْ أَنْ يُعْتَقَ عَنْهَا رَقَبَةٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ أُمِّي أَوْصَتْ أَنْ يُعْتَقَ عَنْهَا رَقَبَةٌ مُؤْمِنَةٌ، وَعِنْدِي جَارِيَةٌ نُوبِيَّةٌ سَوْدَاءُ، فَقَالَ:" ادْعُ بِهَا"، فَجَاءَ بِهَا، فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" مَنْ رَبُّكِ؟"، قَالَتْ: اللَّهُ، قَالَ:" مَنْ أَنَا؟"، قَالَتْ: أَنْتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: " أَعْتِقْهَا، فَإِنَّهَا مُؤْمِنَةٌ" .
