Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19506
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), there were two types of protection, one of which has been lifted and the other remains. (1) Allah Almighty will not punish them in your (the Prophet's) presence. (2) Allah will not punish them as long as they continue to seek forgiveness.

حضرت ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے دور باسعادت میں دو طرح کی امان تھی جن میں سے ایک اٹھ چکی ہے اور دوسری باقی ہے، (١) اللہ تعالیٰ انہیں آپ کی موجودگی میں عذاب نہیں دے گا (٢) اللہ انہیں اس وقت تک عذاب نہیں دے گا جب تک یہ استغفار کرتے رہیں گے۔
Hazrat Abu Musa Radi Allaho Anhu se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke dor e basadat mein do tarhan ki amaan thi jin mein se aik uth chuki hai aur dusri baqi hai, (1) Allah Ta'ala unhen aap ki mojoodgi mein azab nahi denge (2) Allah unhen us waqt tak azab nahi denge jab tak ye istigfaar karte rahenge.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ حَرْمَلَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ، قَالَ: أَمَانَانِ كَانَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، رُفِعَ أَحَدُهُمَا، وَبَقِيَ الْآخَرُ: وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنْتَ فِيهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ سورة الأنفال آية 33 .
