Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19566
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we (the companions) offered the Maghrib prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then we thought that we should wait a while and offer the Isha prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). So we kept waiting. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived, he asked, "Are you still here?" We replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! We thought we would offer the Isha prayer with you." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Very good." Then he raised his head towards the sky - and you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to look towards the sky frequently - and said, "The stars are a sign of peace in the sky. When the stars are gone, the Day of Judgment, which has been promised, will come upon the sky. And I am a sign of peace for my Companions (may Allah be pleased with them). When I am gone, the tribulation that has been promised to them will befall them. And my Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) are a sign of peace for my Ummah. When they are gone, the tribulation that has been promised to them will befall my Ummah."

حضرت ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگوں نے نماز مغرب نبی کریم ﷺ کے ہمراہ ادا کی پھر سوچا کہ تھوڑی دیر انتظار کرلیتے ہیں اور عشاء کی نماز نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ پڑھیں گے چناچہ ہم انتظار کرتے رہے نبی کریم ﷺ جب تشریف لائے تو پوچھا کہ تم اس وقت یہیں پر ہو؟ ہم نے عرض کیا جی ہاں! یارسول اللہ ﷺ ! ہم نے سوچا کہ عشاء کی نماز آپ کے ساتھ ہی پڑھیں گے نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا بہت خوب پھر آسمان کی طرف سر اٹھایا اور آپ ﷺ اکثر آسمان کی طرف سر اٹھا کر دیکھتے ہی تھے اور فرمایا ستارے آسمان میں امن کے علامت ہیں جب ستارے ختم ہوجائیں گے تو آسمان پر وہ قیامت آجائے گی جس کا وعدہ کیا گیا ہے اور میں اپنے صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہ کے لئے امن کی علامت ہوں جب میں چلا جاؤں گا تو میرے صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ پر وہ آفت آجائے گی جس کا ان سے وعدہ کیا گیا ہے اور میرے صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہ میری امت کے لئے امن کی علامت ہیں جو وہ بھی ختم ہوجائیں گے تو میری امت پر وہ آزمائش آجائے گی جس کا ان سے وعدہ کیا گیا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Musa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi aik martaba hum logon ne namaz maghrib Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hamrah ada ki phir socha ki thori dair intizar karlete hain aur isha ki namaz Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath parhenge chunancha hum intizar karte rahe Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab tashreef laye to poocha ki tum is waqt yahan par ho humne arz kiya ji haan Ya Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) humne socha ki isha ki namaz aap ke sath hi parhenge Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya bahut khoob phir asman ki taraf sar uthaya aur aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aksar asman ki taraf sar utha kar dekhte hi the aur farmaya sitare asman mein aman ke alamat hain jab sitare khatam hojayenge to asman par wo qayamat ajayegi jis ka wada kiya gaya hai aur main apne sahaba kiram (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke liye aman ki alamat hun jab main chala jaunga to mere sahaba (رضي الله تعالى عنه) par wo aafat ajayegi jis ka unse wada kiya gaya hai aur mere sahaba kiram (رضي الله تعالى عنه) meri ummat ke liye aman ki alamat hain jo wo bhi khatam hojayenge to meri ummat par wo azmaish ajayegi jis ka unse wada kiya gaya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجُعْفِيُّ ، عَنْ مُجَمِّعِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُ يَذْكُرُهُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ، قَالَ: صَلَّيْنَا الْمَغْرِبَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ قُلْنَا: لَوِ انْتَظَرْنَا حَتَّى نُصَلِّيَ مَعَهُ الْعِشَاءَ، قَالَ: فَانْتَظَرْنَا، فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا، فَقَالَ:" مَا زِلْتُمْ هَاهُنَا؟"، قُلْنَا: نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، قُلْنَا: نُصَلِّي مَعَكَ الْعِشَاءَ، قَالَ:" أَحْسَنْتُمْ أَوْ أَصَبْتُمْ" ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ كَثِيرًا مِمَّا يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ، فَقَالَ: " النُّجُومُ أَمَنَةٌ لِلسَّمَاءِ، فَإِذَا ذَهَبَتْ النُّجُومُ، أَتَى السَّمَاءَ مَا تُوعَدُ، وَأَنَا أَمَنَةٌ لِأَصْحَابِي، فَإِذَا ذَهَبْتُ، أَتَى أَصْحَابِي مَا يُوعَدُونَ، وَأَصْحَابِي أَمَنَةٌ لِأُمَّتِي، فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ أَصْحَابِي، أَتَى أُمَّتِي مَا يُوعَدُونَ" .
