Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19619
Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Allah, the Exalted, stretches out His Hands at night so that the sinner of the day may repent, and He stretches out His Hands by day so that the sinner of the night may repent, and He continues to do so until the sun rises from the west."

حضرت ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا رات کے وقت اللہ تعالیٰ اپنے ہاتھ پھیلاتے ہیں تاکہ دن میں گناہ کرنے والا توبہ کرلے اور دن میں اپنے ہاتھ پھیلاتے ہیں تاکہ رات میں گناہ کرنے والا توبہ کرلے یہ سلسلہ اس وقت تک چلتا رہے گا جب تک سورج مغرب سے طلوع نہیں ہوجاتا۔
Hazrat Abu Musa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya raat ke waqt Allah Ta'ala apne hath pheelte hain taake din mein gunah karne wala toba karle aur din mein apne hath pheelte hain taake raat mein gunah karne wala toba karle yeh silsila iss waqt tak chalta rahega jab tak sooraj maghrib se talu nahin hojata.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَن عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَن أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَن أَبِي مُوسَى ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَبْسُطُ يَدَهُ بِالنَّهَارِ لِيَتُوبَ مُسِيءُ اللَّيْلِ، وَيَبْسُطُ يَدَهُ بِاللَّيْلِ لِيَتُوبَ مُسِيءُ النَّهَارِ، حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا" .
