Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19800
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Barzah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to delay the Isha prayer until the last third of the night. Also, he did not like to sleep before it or talk after it. And he would finish the Fajr prayer when we could recognize the person sitting next to us, and he would recite sixty to one hundred verses in it.

حضرت ابوبرزہ اسلمی رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ عشاء کو تہائی رات تک مؤخر فرماتے تھے، نیز اس سے پہلے سونا اور اس کے بعد باتیں کرنا پسند نہیں فرماتے تھے اور فجر کی نماز پڑھ کر اس وقت فارغ ہوتے جب ہم اپنے ساتھ بیٹھے ہوئے شخص کو پہچان سکتے تھے اور اس میں ساٹھ سے لے کر سو آیات تک تلاوت فرماتے تھے۔
Hazrat Abu Burza Aslami Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Isha ko tehrai raat tak moakhar farmate thay, neez is se pehle sona aur is ke baad baaten karna pasand nahin farmate thay aur Fajr ki namaz parh kar us waqt farigh hote jab hum apne sath baithe huye shakhs ko pehchan sakte thay aur is mein saath se lekar sau ayaat tak tilawat farmate thay.
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سَيَّارِ بْنِ سَلَامَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" كَانَ يُؤَخِّرُ الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ، وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُ النَّوْمَ قَبْلَهَا وَالْحَدِيثَ بَعْدَهَا، وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْفَجْرِ مَا بَيْنَ المِئَةِ إِلَى السِّتِّينَ، وَكَانَ يَنْصَرِفُ حِينَ يَنْصَرِفُ وَبَعْضُنَا يَعْرِفُ وَجْهَ بَعْضٍ" .
