The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 1983
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I bear witness about the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that on the day of Eid, he offered prayer before the sermon, then delivered the sermon. Afterwards, it occurred to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that his voice might not have reached the women. So, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went to the women, preached to them, advised them, and commanded them to give charity. Upon this, the women began to give charity by taking off their earrings, rings, etc.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ میں نبی ﷺ کے متعلق گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ آپ ﷺ نے عید کے دن خطبہ سے پہلے نماز پڑھائی، پھر خطبہ ارشاد فرمایا، بعد میں آپ ﷺ کو خیال آیا کہ عورتوں کے کانوں تک تو آواز پہنچی ہی نہیں ہوگی، چنانچہ نبی ﷺ نے عورتوں کے پاس آ کر انہیں وعظ و نصیحت کی اور انہیں صدقہ کا حکم دیا، جس پر عورتیں اپنی بالیاں اور انگوٹھیاں وغیرہ اتار کر صدقہ دینے لگیں۔
Sayydena Ibn Abbas Radi Allaho Anhoma se marvi hai keh main Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke mutalliq gawahi deta hun keh aap Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne Eid ke din khutba se pehle namaz parhayi, phir khutba irshad farmaya, baad mein aap Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko khayal aaya keh auraton ke kano tak to aawaz pahunchi hi nahi hogi, chunancha Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne auraton ke paas aa kar unhen waz o nasihat ki aur unhen sadqa ka hukum diya, jis par aurten apni baliyan aur angoothian waghaira utaar kar sadqa dene lagin.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: أَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" أَنَّهُ صَلَّى قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَ، فَيَرَى أَنَّهُ لَمْ يُسْمِعْ النِّسَاءَ، فَأَتَاهُنَّ وَمَعَهُ بِلَالٌ نَاشِرًا ثَوْبَهُ، فَوَعَظَهُنَّ وَأَمَرَهُنَّ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقْنَ، فَجَعَلَتْ الْمَرْأَةُ تُلْقِي"، وَأَشَارَ أَيُّوبُ إِلَى أُذُنِهِ وَإِلَى حَلْقِهِ كَأَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ التُّومَةَ وَالْقِلَادَةَ.
