Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19894
It is narrated on the authority of Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that a she-camel named Adhba actually belonged to a man from the tribe of Bani Aqil and was used to carry pilgrims. This man was captured and his she-camel was also seized. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by him while he was tied with ropes. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was riding a donkey and had a tent cloth over him. The man said, “O Muhammad! Will you capture me and the she-camel that carries pilgrims?” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, “We have captured you because of the audacity of your allies, Bani Thaqif, as they have imprisoned two of our companions.” Anyway, during the conversation, the man said, “I am a Muslim.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “If you had said this when you were in full control of yourself, you would have achieved complete salvation.” Then, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) moved forward, the man said, “O Muhammad! I am hungry, feed me, I am thirsty, give me water to drink.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “This is your need (which we will fulfill).” Then, in exchange for those two companions, he gave this man to them and kept Adhba for his own riding. After some time, the polytheists attacked the pasture of Medina and took away the animals there, including Adhba. They also captured a Muslim woman. One day, the woman saw the people unaware and secretly mounted the Prophet’s she-camel. She vowed that if she reached Medina safely, she would sacrifice the same she-camel. Anyway, she reached Medina and wanted to sacrifice the Prophet’s she-camel, but people stopped her and mentioned it to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “You have given her a bad alternative.” Then he said, “O son of Adam! One cannot vow to sacrifice what one does not own, nor is there any vow in the disobedience of Allah.”

حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ عضباء نامی اونٹنی دراصل بنو عقیل میں سے ایک آدمی کی تھی اور حاجیوں کی سواری تھی، وہ شخص گرفتار ہوگیا اور اس کی اونٹنی بھی پکڑ لی گئی، نبی ﷺ اس کے پاس سے گذرے تو وہ رسیوں سے بندھا ہوا تھا، نبی ﷺ ایک گدھے پر سوار تھے اور ایک چادر اوڑھ رکھی تھی، وہ کہنے لگا اے محمد! ﷺ کیا تم مجھے اور حاجیوں کی سواری کو بھی پکڑ لوگے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا ہم نے تمہیں تمہارے حلیفوں بنو ثقیف کی جرأت کی وجہ سے پکڑا ہے، کیونکہ بنو ثقیف نے نبی ﷺ کے دو صحابہ قید کر رکھے تھے، بہرحال! دوران گفتگو وہ کہنے لگا کہ میں تو مسلمان ہوں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا اگر تم نے اس وقت یہ بات کہی ہوتی جب کہ تمہیں اپنے اوپر مکمل اختیار تھا تو فلاح کلی حاصل کرلیتے۔ پھر نبی ﷺ آگے بڑھنے لگے تو وہ کہنے لگا کہ اے محمد! ﷺ میں بھوکا ہوں، مجھے کھانا کھلائیے، پیاساہوں، پانی پلائیے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا یہ تمہاری ضرورت ہے (جو ہم پوری کریں گے) پھر ان دو صحابیوں کے فدئیے میں اس شخص کو دے دیا اور عضباء کو اپنی سواری کے لئے رکھ لیا، کچھ ہی عرصے بعد مشرکین نے مدینہ منورہ کی چراگاہ پر شب خون مارا اور وہاں کے جانور اپنے ساتھ لے گئے انہی میں عضباء بھی شامل تھی۔ نیز انہوں نے ایک مسلمان عورت کو بھی قید کرلیا، ایک دن اس عورت نے لوگوں کو غافل دیکھا تو چپکے سے نبی ﷺ کی اونٹنی پر سوار ہوئی اور یہ منت مان لی کہ اگر صحیح سلامت مدینہ پہنچ گئی تو اسی اونٹنی کو ذبح کر دے گی، بہرحال! وہ مدینہ منورہ پہنچ گئی اور نبی ﷺ کی اونٹنی کو ذبح کرنا چاہا لیکن لوگوں نے اسے اس سے منع کیا اور نبی ﷺ سے اس کا تذکرہ کردیا، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا تم نے اسے برا بدلہ دیا، پھر فرمایا ابن آدم جس چیز کا مالک نہ ہو، اس میں نذر نہیں ہوتی اور نہ ہی اللہ کی معصیت میں منت ہوتی ہے۔
Hazrat Imran bin Husain (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Azba nami untni darasal Banu Aqeel mein se ek aadmi ki thi aur Hajiyon ki sawari thi, woh shakhs giraftar hogaya aur uski untni bhi pakad li gayi, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) uske paas se guzre to woh rasson se bandha hua tha, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ek gadhe par sawar the aur ek chadar odh rakhi thi, woh kehne laga aye Muhammad! (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kya tum mujhe aur Hajiyon ki sawari ko bhi pakad loge? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya humne tumhein tumhare halifon Banu Saqeef ki jurrat ki wajah se pakda hai, kyunki Banu Saqeef ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke do Sahaba qaid kar rakhe the, beherhaal! dauran guftgu woh kehne laga ki main to musalman hun, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya agar tumne us waqt yeh baat kahi hoti jab ki tumhein apne upar mukammal ikhtiyar tha to falaah kulli hasil karlete. Phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aage badhne lage to woh kehne laga ki aye Muhammad! (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) main bhooka hun, mujhe khana khilaiye, piyasa hun, pani pilaaiye? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya yeh tumhari zaroorat hai (jo hum puri karenge) phir un do Sahabiyon ke fidye mein us shakhs ko de diya aur Azba ko apni sawari ke liye rakh liya, kuch hi arse baad mushrikeen ne Madina Munawwara ki charagah par shab khoon mara aur wahan ke jaanwar apne sath le gaye unhi mein Azba bhi shamil thi. Neez unhon ne ek musalman aurat ko bhi qaid karliya, ek din us aurat ne logon ko ghafil dekha to chupke se Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki untni par sawar hui aur yeh mannat maan li ki agar sahih salamat Madina pahunch gayi to isi untni ko zabah kar degi, beherhaal! woh Madina Munawwara pahunch gayi aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki untni ko zabah karna chaha lekin logon ne use is se mana kiya aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se iska tazkira kardiya, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tumne use bura badla diya, phir farmaya ibn e Aadam jis cheez ka malik na ho, us mein nazr nahin hoti aur na hi Allah ki masiyat mein mannat hoti hai.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ ثَقِيفُ حُلَفَاءَ لِبَنِي عُقَيْلٍ فَأَسَرَتْ ثَقِيفُ رَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَسَرَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي عُقَيْلٍ، وَأُصِيبَتْ مَعَهُ الْعَضْبَاءُ، فَأَتَى عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي الْوَثَاقِ، فَقَالَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا مُحَمَّدُ! فَقَالَ:" مَا شَأْنُكَ؟" فَقَالَ: بِمَ أَخَذْتَنِي؟ بِمَ أَخَذْتَ سَابِقَةَ الْحَاجِّ؟ إِعْظَامًا لِذَلِكَ , فَقَالَ:" أَخَذْتُكَ بِجَرِيرَةِ حُلَفَائِكَ ثَقِيفَ" ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ عَنْهُ، فَقَالَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا مُحَمَّدُ , وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَحِيمًا رَفِيقًا، فَأَتَاهُ فَقَالَ:" مَا شَأْنُكَ؟" قَالَ: إِنِّي مُسْلِمٌ , قَالَ: " لَوْ قُلْتَهَا وَأَنْتَ تَمْلِكُ أَمْرَكَ أَفْلَحْتَ كُلَّ الْفَلَاحِ" ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ عَنْهُ، فَنَادَاهُ يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا مُحَمَّدُ , فَأَتَاهُ فَقَالَ:" مَا شَأْنُكَ" فَقَالَ: إِنِّي جَائِعٌ فَأَطْعِمْنِي، وَظَمْآنُ فَاسْقِنِي , قَالَ:" هَذِهِ حَاجَتُكَ" قَالَ: فَفُدِيَ بِالرَّجُلَيْنِ . وَأُسِرَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، وَأُصِيبَ مَعَهَا الْعَضْبَاءُ، فَكَانَتْ الْمَرْأَةُ فِي الْوَثَاقِ، فَانْفَلَتَتْ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ مِنَ الْوَثَاقِ، فَأَتَتْ الْإِبِلَ، فَجَعَلَتْ إِذَا دَنَتْ مِنَ الْبَعِيرِ رَغَا، فَتَتْرُكُهُ حَتَّى تَنْتَهِيَ إِلَى الْعَضْبَاءِ، فَلَمْ تَرْغُ قَالَ وَنَاقَةٌ مُنَوَّقَةٌ، فَقَعَدَتْ فِي عَجُزِهَا ثُمَّ زَجَرَتْهَا، فَانْطَلَقَتْ، وَنَذِرُوا بِهَا فَطَلَبُوهَا فَأَعْجَزَتْهُمْ، فَنَذَرَتْ إِنْ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنْجَاهَا عَلَيْهَا لَتَنْحَرَنَّهَا، فَلَمَّا قَدِمَتْ الْمَدِينَةَ، رَآهَا النَّاسُ، فَقَالُوا الْعَضْبَاءُ نَاقَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ! فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي قَدْ نَذَرْتُ إِنْ أَنْجَاهَا اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى عَلَيْهَا لَتَنْحَرَنَّهَا، فَأَتَوْا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: " سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بِئْسَمَا جَزَتْهَا , إِنْ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنْجَاهَا لَتَنْحَرَنَّهَا! لَا وَفَاءَ لِنَذْرٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ، وَلَا نَذْرَ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ الْعَبْدُ" .
