Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19933
It is narrated on the authority of Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the verse of Hajj-e-Tamattu was revealed in the Quran, and we acted upon it in the company of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not forbid it until his death, nor was any verse prohibiting it revealed in the Quran in this regard.

حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ حج تمتع کی آیت قرآن میں نازل ہوئی ہے، ہم نے نبی ﷺ کی معیت میں اس پر عمل کیا ہے، نبی ﷺ نے وصال تک اس سے منع نہیں فرمایا: اور نہ ہی اس حوالے سے اس کی حرمت کا قرآن میں کوئی حکم نازل ہوا۔
Hazrat Imran bin Husain raziallahu anhu se marvi hai ki Hajj Tamattu ki ayat Quran mein nazil hui hai, hum ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki maiyyat mein is par amal kya hai, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne wisal tak is se mana nahi farmaya: aur na hi is hawale se is ki hurmat ka Quran mein koi hukam nazil hua.
حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ , أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " تَمَتَّعْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يَنْهَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ عَنْهَا، وَلَمْ يَنْزِلْ مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِيهَا نَهْيٌ" .
