Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20255
It is narrated on the authority of Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "By As-Salatul-Wusta (the middle prayer) is meant the afternoon prayer."
Grade: Sahih
حضرت سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا " صلوۃ الوسطی " سے مراد نماز عصر ہے۔
Hazrat Samra (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh aik martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Salatul Wusta se muraad Namaz e Asar hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَن قَتَادَةَ ، عَن الْحَسَنِ ، عَن سَمُرَةَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " صَلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ" .
