The Hadith of a man from the people of the Badia (may Allah be pleased with him)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20589
It is narrated from a companion that he performed Hajj with a close relative, tying himself to him with a rope. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw this and asked what it was. He replied that he had made a vow. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered him to cut the rope.

ایک صحابی سے مروی ہے کہ انہوں نے ایک قریبی رشتہ دار کے ساتھ اس طرح حج کیا کہ اس کے ساتھ اپنے آپ کو رسی سے باندھا ہوا تھا نبی ﷺ نے دیکھا تو پوچھا یہ کیا بتایا کہ اس نے منت مانی تھی نبی ﷺ نے رسی کو کاٹنے کا حکم دے دیا۔
Ek sahabi se marvi hai ki unhon ne ek qareebi rishtedaar ke sath is tarah Hajj kiya ki uske sath apne aap ko rassi se bandha hua tha Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne dekha to poocha yeh kya bataya ki usne mannat maani thi Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne rassi ko kaatne ka hukum de diya.
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، أَنَّهُ حَجَّ مَعَ ذِي قَرَابَةٍ لَهُ مُقْتَرِنًا بِهِ، فَرَآهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ:" مَا هَذَا؟" قَالَ: إِنَّهُ نَذْرٌ، فَأَمَرَ بِالْقِرَانِ أَنْ يُقْطَعَ .
