ومن مسند بني هاشم
The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2076
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said, "I wish that people would reduce their wills from one-third to one-fourth, for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) considered even one-third to be excessive."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ کاش! لوگ وصیت کرنے میں تہائی سے کمی کر کے چوتھائی کو اختیار کر لیں، اس لئے کہ نبی ﷺ نے تہائی کو بھی زیادہ قرار دیا ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki kash! log vasiyat karne mein tehrai se kami kar ke chauthai ko ikhtiyar kar len, is liye ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne tehrai ko bhi ziyada karar diya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: وَدِدْتُ أَنَّ النَّاسَ غَضُّوا مِنَ الثُّلُثِ إِلَى الرُّبُعِ فِي الْوَصِيَّةِ، لِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" الثُّلُثُ كَثِيرٌ أَوْ كَبِيرٌ".
