The Hadith of al-Muhajir ibn Qunfudh, may Allah be pleased with him
حَدِيثُ الْمُهَاجِرِ بْنِ قُنْفُذٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20762
It is narrated on the authority of Muhajir bin Qunfudh (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was urinating or had finished urinating, I greeted him but he did not respond until he performed ablution and then he replied to me.

حضرت مہاجر بن قنفذ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ پیشاب کررہے تھے یا کرچکے تھے میں نے انہیں سلام کیا لیکن انہوں نے جواب نہیں دیا یہاں تک کہ وضو کرلیا اور پھر مجھے جواب دیا۔
Hazrat Muhajir bin Qunfuz (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki aik martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) peshab kar rahe thay ya kar chuke thay main ne unhain salam kiya lekin unhon ne jawab nahi diya yahan tak ki wuzu kar liya aur phir mujhe jawab diya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ بْنِ قُنْفُذٍ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَبُولُ أَوْ قَدْ بَالَ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ، فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ حَتَّى تَوَضَّأَ، ثُمَّ رَدَّ عَلَيَّ" .
