Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20844
Samak said: I asked Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) if he had been in the gatherings of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He said: Yes, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would not leave the place where he prayed Fajr until sunrise. When the sun rose, he would get up and he would remain silent for the most part, and he would laugh very little. However, in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the Companions would also talk and laugh while mentioning the events of the pre-Islamic period, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would smile.

سماک کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کہ کیا آپ نبی ﷺ کی مجلسوں میں شریک ہوتے تھے انہوں نے فرمایا کہ ہاں نبی ﷺ جس جگہ پر نماز فجر پڑھتے تھے طلوع آفتاب تک وہاں سے نہیں اٹھتے تھے جب سورج طلوع ہوجاتا تو اٹھ جاتے تھے اور زیادہ وقت خاموش رہتے تھے اور کم ہنستے تھے البتہ نبی ﷺ کی موجودگی میں صحابہ باتیں بھی کہہ لیا کرتے تھے اور زمانہ جاہلیت کے واقعات ذکر کرکے ہنستے بھی تھے لیکن نبی ﷺ تبسم فرماتے تھے۔
Samak kehte hain keh maine Hazrat Jabir bin Samrah razi Allah anhu se poocha keh kya aap Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki majlison mein shareek hote thay unhon ne farmaya keh haan Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jis jagah par namaz fajr parhte thay toloo aftab tak wahan se nahi uthte thay jab sooraj taloo hojata to uth jate thay aur zyada waqt khamosh rehte thay aur kam hanste thay albatta Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki mojoodgi mein sahaba baaten bhi keh liya karte thay aur zamana jahiliyat ke waqiyat zikar karke hanste bhi thay lekin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) tabassum farmate thay.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ ، وَأَبُو النَّضْرِ ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ أَكُنْتَ تُجَالِسُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ كَثِيرًا،" كَانَ لَا يَقُومُ مِنْ مُصَلَّاهُ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي فِيهِ الصُّبْحَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ، فَإِذَا طَلَعَتْ الشَّمْسُ قَامَ، وَكَانَ يُطِيلُ قَالَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ: كَثِيرَ الصُّمَاتِ، فَيَتَحَدَّثُونَ، فَيَأْخُذُونَ فِي أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، فَيَضْحَكُونَ، وَيَتَبَسَّمُ" .
