Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20848
It is narrated on the authority of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), it was discovered that a man had committed suicide. Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I will not offer his funeral prayer."

حضرت جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کے دور باسعادت میں پتہ چلا کہ ایک آدمی نے خود کشی کرلی ہے یہ سن کر نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ میں تو اس کی نماز جنازہ نہیں پڑھاؤں گا۔
Hazrat Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke daur ba saadat mein pata chala keh aik aadmi ne khudkushi karli hai yeh sunkar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya keh mein toh iski namaz janaza nahin parhaunga.
حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرُّؤَاسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُخْبِرَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ، قَالَ:" إِذَنْ لَا أُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ" .
