Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20849
It is narrated on the authority of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) used to call the azaan after the sun had passed its zenith. He would not delay it, and he would not say the iqamah until he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) come out. When he saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had come out, he would start the iqamah.

حضرت جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ حضرت بلال زوال کے بعد اذان دیتے تھے۔ اس میں کوتاہی نہیں کرتے تھے اور اس وقت تک اقامت نہ کہتے جب تک نبی ﷺ کو باہر نکلتے ہوئے نہ دیکھ لیتے۔ جب وہ دیکھتے کہ نبی ﷺ باہر نکل آئے ہیں تو اقامت شروع کردیتے۔
Hazrat Jabir razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki Hazrat Bilal zawal ke bad azan dete the. Is mein kotahi nahi karte the aur us waqt tak iqamat na kahte jab tak Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko bahar nikalte huye na dekh lete. Jab wo dekhte ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bahar nikal aaye hain to iqamat shuru karte.
حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ:" كَانَ بِلَالٌ يُؤَذِّنُ إِذَا زَالَتِ الشَّمْسُ لَا يَخْرِمُ، ثُمَّ لَا يُقِيمُ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ"، قَالَ:" فَإِذَا خَرَجَ أَقَامَ حِينَ يَرَاهُ" .
