Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20855
It is narrated on the authority of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when we used to be present in the gathering of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the gathering would be about to end, we would sit right there.

حضرت جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ جب ہم لوگ نبی ﷺ کی مجلس میں حاضر ہوتے جہاں مجلس ختم ہورہی ہوتی ہم وہیں بیٹھ جاتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ: كُنَّا إِذَا جِئْنَا إِلَيْهِ، يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " جَلَسَ أَحَدُنَا حَيْثُ يَنْتَهِي" .
