Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20951
It is narrated on the authority of Jabir bin Samrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying on the occasion of Hajj-e-Wida (Farewell Pilgrimage) that this religion (Islam) will always prevail over its opponents. No one opposing or abandoning it will be able to harm it until twelve Caliphs have passed away from among my Ummah. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said something that I could not understand. I asked my father what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said. He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said that all of them (the Caliphs) would be from Quraysh.

حضرت جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو حجۃ الوداع کے موقع پر یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ یہ دین ہمیشہ اپنے مخالفین پر غالب رہے گا اسے کوئی مخالفت کرنے والا یا مفارقت کرنے والا نقصان نہ پہنچاسکے گا یہاں تک کہ میری امت میں بارہ خلیفہ گزرجائیں گے پھر نبی ﷺ نے کچھ کہا جو میں سمجھ نہیں سکا میں نے اپنے والد سے پوچھا کہ نبی ﷺ نے کیا فرمایا ہے انہوں نے کہا کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا ہے وہ سب کے سب قریش سے ہونگے۔
Hazrat Jabir bin Samrah RA se marvi hai keh maine Nabi SAW ko Hajjatul Wida ke mauqe par ye farmate hue suna hai keh ye deen hamesha apne mukhalifeen par ghalib rahe ga ise koi mukhalafat karne wala ya mufarqat karne wala nuqsan na pohncha sake ga yahan tak keh meri ummat mein barah Khalifa guzar jayen ge phir Nabi SAW ne kuch kaha jo main samajh nahi saka maine apne walid se poocha keh Nabi SAW ne kya farmaya hai unhon ne kaha keh Nabi SAW ne farmaya hai woh sab ke sab Quresh se honge.
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " لَا يَزَالُ الْإِسْلَامُ عَزِيزًا إِلَى اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ خَلِيفَةً"، فَقَالَ كَلِمَةً خَفِيَّةً لَمْ أَفْهَمْهَا، قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي: مَا قَالَ؟ قَالَ:" كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ" .
