The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2112
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to recite these words and blow on Sayyiduna Hasan and Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with both of them): “I seek refuge for both of you in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every poisonous reptile and from every envious eye”, and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say, “My father, Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) also used to recite these words and blow on his two sons, Sayyiduna Isma'il and Sayyiduna Ishaq (peace be upon them).”

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ سیدنا حسن اور سیدنا حسین رضی اللہ عنہما پر یہ کلمات پڑھ کر پھونکتے تھے: «أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللّٰهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ» ”میں تم دونوں کو اللہ کی صفات کاملہ کی پناہ میں دیتا ہوں ہر شیطان اور ہر غم سے اور ہر قسم کی نظر بد سے“، اور فرمایا کرتے تھے کہ ”میرے والد یعنی سیدنا ابراہیم علیہ السلام بھی اپنے دونوں بیٹوں سیدنا اسماعیل اور سیدنا اسحاق علیہما السلام پر یہی کلمات پڑھ کر پھونکتے تھے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Sayyidna Hasan aur Sayyidna Hussain ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a par ye kalmat parh kar phoonktay thay: «U'eezukuma bikalimatillahit taammati min kulli shaitanin wa hammatin wa min kulli aynin lammatin» ”main tum dono ko Allah ki sifat kamila ki panah mein deta hun har shaitan aur har gham se aur har qisam ki nazar bad se“, aur farmaya kartay thay ki ”mere walid yani Sayyidna Ibrahim Alaihissalam bhi apne dono beton Sayyidna Ismail aur Sayyidna Ishaq Alaihima Salam par yahi kalmat parh kar phoonktay thay“.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، ويعلي , حدثنا سفيان , عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُعَوِّذُ حَسَنًا , وَحُسَيْنًا، يَقُولُ:" أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ، مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ" , وَكَانَ يَقُولُ:" كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ أَبِي يُعَوِّذُ بِهِمَا إِسْمَاعِيلَ , وَإِسْحَاقَ".
