Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21196
Zirr reported that Ubayy b. Ka'b stated that the night of destiny meant the 27th night of Ramadan on the basis of the sign which the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) had given us, and we counted it and found it to be so.

زر کہتے ہیں کہ حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ نے مجھ سے شب قدر ماہ رمضان کی ستائیسویں شب ہوتی ہے اس علامت سے جو نبی کریم ﷺ نے ہمیں بتائی ہے ہم نے اس کا حساب لگایا اور اسے شمار کیا تو یہ وہی رات تھی۔
Zar kehte hain ke Hazrat Abi bin Kaab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne mujh se Shab e Qadr mah e Ramzan ki sattaiswein shab hoti hai is alamat se jo Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne hamen batai hai hum ne is ka hisab lagaya aur ise shumar kiya to ye wohi raat thi.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ زِرٍّ ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي: أُبَيٌّ ، إِنَّهَا لَيْلَةُ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ، وَإِنَّهَا لَهِيَ هِيَ مَا يُسْتَثْنَى بِالْآيَةِ الَّتِي حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَحَسَبْنَا وَعَدَدْنَا، فَإِنَّهَا لَهِيَ هِيَ مَا يُسْتَثْنَى .
