Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21376
Zaid bin Wahab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once we were returning from a funeral procession and passed by Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him). He said, “Once we were on a journey with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), when the Mu'adhin (caller to prayer) wanted to pronounce the Adhan (call to prayer) for the Zuhr (midday) prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him, 'Let the heat subside before giving the Adhan'. This happened two or three times until we found the shade of some hills. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) then said, 'The intensity of the heat is from the heat of Hellfire. Therefore, when the heat is intense, pray when it is cooler.'”

زید بن وہب رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ کسی جنازے سے واپس آرہے تھے کہ حضرت ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس سے گذر ہوا وہ کہنے لگے کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ کسی سفر میں تھے مؤذن نے جب ظہر کی اذان دینا چاہی تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے اس سے فرمایا ٹھنڈا کر کے اذان دینا دو تین مرتبہ اسی طرح ہوا حتٰی کہ ہمیں ٹیلوں کا سایہ نظر آنے لگا نبی کریم ﷺ نے یہ بھی فرمایا کہ گرمی کی شدت جہنم کی تپش کا اثر ہوتی ہے اس لئے جب گرمی زیادہ ہو تو نماز کو ٹھنڈا کر کے پڑھا کرو۔
Zayd bin Wahb rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke ek martaba hum log kisi janaze se wapas aa rahe the ke Hazrat Abuzar razi Allah tala anhu ke pass se guzar hua wo kehne lage ke ek martaba hum log Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath kisi safar mein the muazzin ne jab zohar ki azan dena chahi to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne us se farmaya thanda kar ke azan dena do teen martaba isi tarah hua hatta ke humein teelon ka saya nazar aane laga Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ye bhi farmaya ke garmi ki shiddat jahannam ki tapish ka asar hoti hai is liye jab garmi zyada ho to namaz ko thanda kar ke parha karo.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُهَاجِرٍ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ: جِئْنَا مِنْ جَنَازَةٍ، فَمَرَرْنَا بِأَبِي ذَرٍّ ، فَقَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَأَرَادَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ أَنْ يُؤَذِّنَ لِلظُّهْرِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَبْرِدْ" ثُمَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُؤَذِّنَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ:" أَبْرِدْ" وَالثَّالِثَةَ، أَكْبَرُ عِلْمِي شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ لَهُ حَتَّى رَأَيْنَا فَيْءَ التُّلُولِ، قَالَ:" قَالَ: إِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ، فَإِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ" .
