Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21425
Ubayy bin Ka'b narrated that once I was present in Medina in a gathering, in which some people of Quraysh were also sitting, when a man came (he came near them and said) "There is good news for those who amass wealth and treasure, of the branding that will be done on their backs, and that which will come out of their bellies, and of the branding from the throne, that will come out of their foreheads!" Then he went to one side. I followed him till he sat down near a pillar. I said to him, "I saw that those people did not like what you said?" He said, "Once my Khalil (close friend) Abu'l-Qasim (the Prophet) called me and said, 'O Abu Dharr! I said, 'Labbayk.' He said, 'Do you see Mount Uhud?' I looked up at the sun, thinking that he was going to send me on some errand, so I said, 'Yes, I see it.' The Prophet said, 'I would not like to have gold equal to this mountain, and to spend it all except three Dinars..."

احنف بن قیس رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں مدینہ منورہ میں حاضر ہوا میں ایک حلقے میں " جس میں قریش کے کچھ لوگ بھی بیٹھے ہوئے تھے " شریک تھا کہ ایک آدمی آیا (اس نے ان کے قریب آکر کہا کہ مال و دولت جمع کرنے والوں کو خوشخبری ہو اس داغ کی جو ان کی پشت کی طرف سے داغا جائے گا اور ان کے پیٹ سے نکل جائے گا اور گدی کی جانب سے ایک داغ کی جو ان کی پیشانی سے نکل جائے گا پھر وہ ایک طرف چلا گیا میں اس کے پیچھے چل پڑا یہاں تک کہ وہ ایک ستون کے قریب جا کر بیٹھ گیا میں نے اس سے کہا کہ میں دیکھ رہا ہوں کہ یہ لوگ آپ کی بات سے خوش نہیں ہوئے؟ اس نے کہا کہ ایک مرتبہ میرے خلیل ابوالقاسم ﷺ نے مجھے بلایا اور فرمایا اے ابوذر! میں نے لبیک کہا، انہوں نے فرمایا احد پہاڑ دیکھ رہے ہو؟ میں نے اوپر نگاہ اٹھا کر سورج کو دیکھا کیونکہ میرا خیال تھا کہ وہ مجھے کسی کام سے بھیجیں گے سو میں نے عرض کیا کہ دیکھ رہا ہوں نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا مجھے یہ بات پسند نہیں ہے کہ اس پہاڑ کے برابر میرے پاس سونا ہو، میں اس سارے کو خرچ کردوں گا سوائے تین دنانیر کے۔
Ahnaf bin Qais rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke ek martaba main Madina Munawwara mein hazir hua main ek halqay mein "jis mein Quresh ke kuch log bhi baithe huay thay" sharik tha ke ek aadmi aaya (us ne un ke qareeb aa kar kaha ke maal o daulat jama karne walon ko khushkhabri ho us daagh ki jo un ki pusht ki taraf se daagha jaye ga aur un ke pet se nikal jaye ga aur gaddi ki taraf se ek daagh ki jo un ki peshani se nikal jaye ga phir wo ek taraf chala gaya main us ke peeche chal para yahan tak ke wo ek sutun ke qareeb ja kar baith gaya main ne us se kaha ke main dekh raha hun ke yeh log aap ki baat se khush nahi huay? us ne kaha ke ek martaba mere khalil Abu'l-Qaasim (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujhe bulaya aur farmaya aye Abu Dharr! main ne labbaik kaha, unhon ne farmaya Uhud paharr dekh rahe ho? main ne upar nigaah utha kar sooraj ko dekha kyunki mera khayal tha ke wo mujhe kisi kaam se bhejen ge so main ne arz kiya ke dekh raha hun Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya mujhe yeh baat pasand nahi hai ke is paharr ke barabar mere paas sona ho, main is saare ko kharch kar dun ga siwaye teen dinar ke.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ ، عَنْ الْأَحْنَفِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ: قَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَبَيْنَا أَنَا فِي حَلَقَةٍ فِيهَا مَلَأٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ إِذْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ، فَاتَّبَعْتُهُ حَتَّى جَلَسَ إِلَى سَارِيَةٍ، فَقُلْتُ: مَا رَأَيْتُ هَؤُلَاءِ إِلَّا كَرِهُوا مَا قُلْتَ لَهُمْ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ خَلِيلِي أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَعَانِي، فَقَالَ: " يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ" فَأَجَبْتُهُ، فَقَالَ:" هَلْ تَرَى أُحُدًا؟" فَنَظَرْتُ مَا عَلاَ مِنَ الشَّمْسِ وَأَنَا أَظُنُّهُ يَبْعَثُنِي فِي حَاجَةٍ، فَقُلْتُ: أَرَاهُ، قَالَ:" مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ لِي مِثْلَهُ ذَهَبًا أُنْفِقُهُ كُلَّهُ إِلَّا ثَلَاثَةَ الدَّنَانِيرِ" .
