The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2152
Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered the state of Ihram for Hajj. Upon reaching Makkah, he performed Tawaf of the Ka'bah and Sa'i between Safa and Marwah. However, he did not shave his head due to carrying the sacrificial animal. He instructed those who did not bring the sacrificial animal with them to shave or trim their hair after performing Tawaf and Sa'i and then end their Ihram.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ نے حج کی نیت سے احرام باندھا، مکہ مکرمہ پہنچ کر خانہ کعبہ کا طواف کیا، صفا اور مروہ کے درمیان سعی کی، لیکن ہدی کی وجہ سے بال کٹوا کر حلال نہیں ہوئے، اور ہدی اپنے ساتھ نہ لانے والوں کو حکم دیا کہ وہ ”طواف اور سعی کر کے قصر یا حلق کرنے کے بعد حلال ہو جائیں۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a farmate hain ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Hajj ki niyat se ehram bandha Makkah Mukarramah pahunch kar Khanah Kaaba ka tawaf kiya Safa aur Marwah ke darmiyan sai ki lekin hadi ki wajah se baal katwa kar halal nahi huye aur hadi apne sath na lane walon ko hukm diya ki woh tawaf aur sai kar ke qasar ya halq karne ke bad halal ho jayen.
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنِ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ:" أَهَلَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْحَجِّ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ، وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا , وَالْمَرْوَةِ، وَلَمْ يُقَصِّرْ , وَلَمْ يُحِلَّ مِنْ أَجْلِ الْهَدْيِ، وَأَمَرَ مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ سَاقَ الْهَدْيَ أَنْ يَطُوفَ، وَأَنْ يَسْعَى وَيُقَصِّرَ، أَوْ يَحْلِقَ، ثُمَّ يُحِلَّ".
