Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21607
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day we were sitting with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when he twice gave the good news, "Good news for the land of Syria." I asked, "What is the special quality of Syria?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The angels spread their wings over the land of Syria."

حضرت زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک دن ہم لوگ نبی کریم ﷺ کے پاس بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے دو مرتبہ ملک شام کے لئے خوشخبری ہے میں نے پوچھا کہ شام کی کیا خصوصیت ہے؟ تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ملک شام پر فرشتے اپنے پر پھیلائے ہوئے ہیں۔
Hazrat Zaid bin Sabit razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki ek din hum log Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pas baithe huye the ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne do martaba mulk Sham ke liye khushkhabri hai maine pucha ki Sham ki kya khususiyat hai to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya mulk Sham par farishte apne par phelaye huye hain.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ شِمَاسَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ: بَيْنَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نُؤَلِّفُ الْقُرْآنَ مِنَ الرِّقَاعِ، إِذْ قَالَ: " طُوبَى لِلشَّامِ"، قِيلَ: وَلِمَ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ:" إِنَّ مَلَائِكَةَ الرَّحْمَنِ بَاسِطَةٌ أَجْنِحَتَهَا عَلَيْهَا" .
