Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21640
It is narrated on the authority of Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that when we were compiling the copies of the Quran, I could not find a verse of Surah Ahzab which I used to hear the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reciting. I searched for it and found it only with Khuzaimah bin Thabit Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), whose testimony was considered by the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to be equal to the testimony of two men. And that verse was: "Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah..."

حضرت زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ جب ہم لوگ مصاحف کے نسخے تیار کر رہے تھے تو مجھے ان میں سورت احزاب کی ایک آیت نظر نہ آئی جو میں نبی کریم ﷺ کو پڑھتے ہوئے سنتا تھا میں نے اسے تلاش کیا تو وہ مجھے صرف حضرت خزیمہ بن ثابت انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس ملی جن کی شہادت کو نبی کریم ﷺ نے دو آدمیوں کی شہادت کے برابر قرار دیا تھا اور وہ آیت یہ تھی من المؤمنین رجال صدقواماعاھدو اللہ علیہ۔
Hazrat Zaid bin Sabit Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki jab hum log masahif ke nuske taiyar kar rahe the to mujhe un mein Surah Ahzab ki aik ayat nazar na aai jo mein Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko parhte hue sunta tha maine use talaash kiya to wo mujhe sirf Hazrat Khuzaima bin Sabit Ansari Raziallahu Anhu ke paas mili jin ki shahadat ko Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne do admiyon ki shahadat ke barabar qarar diya tha aur wo ayat ye thi Min moomineen rijal sadaqoo ma aahado Allahu alaihi.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، قَالَ: وَجَدْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي بِخَطِّ يَدِهِ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي خَارِجَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ:" لَمَّا نَسَخْنَا الْمَصَاحِفَ فُقِدَتْ آيَةٌ مِنْ سُورَةِ الْأَحْزَابِ، قَدْ كُنْتُ أَسْمَعُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ بِهَا، فَالْتَمَسْتُهَا، فَلَمْ أَجِدْهَا مَعَ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا مَعَ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، الَّذِي جَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَهَادَتَهُ شَهَادَةَ رَجُلَيْنِ، قَوْلُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ سورة الأحزاب آية 23" .
