The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2173
Our master Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, said: “I witnessed Eid prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) along with Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman, may Allah be pleased with them. All of them used to offer the prayer before the sermon, and without the call to prayer (Adhan) and the call for starting the prayer (Iqamah).”

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ وہ عید کے موقع پر نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ، اور سیدنا ابوبکر، سیدنا عمر اور سیدنا عثمان رضی اللہ عنہم کے ساتھ موجود رہے ہیں، یہ سب حضرات خطبہ سے پہلے بغیر اذان و اقامت کے نماز پڑھایا کرتے تھے۔
Saina Ibn Abbas Raziallahu Anhuma farmate hain ke woh Eid ke mauke par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath, aur Saina Abu Bakar, Saina Umar aur Saina Usman Raziallahu Anhum ke sath mojood rahe hain, ye sab hazrat khutba se pehle baghair azan o aqamat ke namaz parhaya karte the.
حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ:" صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعِيدَ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ، وَصَلَّى أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ، وَعُمَرُ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ، وَعُثْمَانُ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ، بِغَيْرِ أَذَانٍ وَلَا إِقَامَةٍ".
