The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2174
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed two rak'ahs of Eid prayer. In both rak'ahs, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited only Surah Fatiha and did not add any other Surah (most probably Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) could not hear because of the distance).

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے عید کی نماز دو رکعتیں کر کے پڑھائیں، ان دونوں رکعتوں میں نبی ﷺ نے صرف سورہ فاتحہ کی تلاوت فرمائی اور اس پر کسی سورت کا اضافہ نہیں کیا (غالبا سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما تک دور ہونے کی وجہ سے آواز نہ پہنچ سکی ہوگی)۔
Syedna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Eid ki namaz do rakaten kar ke parhai, in donon rakaton mein Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne sirf Surah Fatiha ki tilawat farmai aur is par kisi surat ka izafa nahi kya (غالبا Syedna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a tak door hone ki wajah se awaz na pahunch saki hogi).
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ السَّدُوسِيِّ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ:" صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعِيدَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ لَا يَقْرَأُ فِيهِمَا إِلَّا بِأُمِّ الْكِتَابِ، لَمْ يَزِدْ عَلَيْهَا شَيْئًا".
