Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21817
Zikwan said that once Abu Saeed Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, sent me to Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, to ask him about what he said regarding the sale of "Sarf" (a type of Islamic transaction). He asked me to inquire whether he found evidence for this in the Quran or if he had heard it directly from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. He (Ibn Abbas) replied that he did not find this in the Book of Allah, nor did he hear it directly from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. However, he said that Usama bin Zaid, may Allah be pleased with him, told him that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said that interest is related to debt.

ذکوان کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ نے مجھے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس یہ پوچھنے کے لئے بھیجا کہ بیع صرف کے متعلق آپ جو بات کہتے ہیں، یہ بتائیے کہ اس کا ثبوت آپ کو قرآن میں ملتا ہے یا آپ نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے اس کے متعلق کچھ سنا ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ یہ چیز نہ تو مجھے کتاب اللہ میں ملی ہے اور نہ ہی میں نے براہ راست نبی کریم ﷺ سے سنی ہے البتہ حضرت اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ نے مجھے بتایا ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا سود کا تعلق ادھار سے ہوتا ہے۔
Zukwan kehty hain keh aik martaba Hazrat Abusaid Khudri raziallahu anhu ne mujhe Hazrat Ibn Abbas raziallahu anhuma ke pass yeh pochne ke liye bheja keh Bay Sarkar ke mutalliq aap jo baat kehty hain, yeh bataiye keh iska saboot aapko Quran mein milta hai ya aapne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se iske mutalliq kuch suna hai? Unhon ne farmaya keh yeh cheez na to mujhe Kitab Allah mein mili hai aur na hi maine seedha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se suni hai albatta Hazrat Usama bin Zaid raziallahu anhu ne mujhe bataya hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya sud ka taluq adhaar se hota hai.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ , عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ , قَالَ: أَرْسَلَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ , إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , قَالَ: قُلْ لَهُ فِي الصَّرْفِ: أَسَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا لَمْ نَسْمَعْ؟ أَوْ قَرَأْتَ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ , مَا لَمْ نَقْرَأْ؟ قَالَ: بِكُلٍّ لَا أَقُولُ , وَلَكِنِّي سَمِعْتُ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ يُحَدِّثُ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا رِبًا إِلَّا فِي الدَّيْنِ" , أَوْ قَالَ:" فِي النَّسِيئَةِ" .
