Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21824
It is narrated by Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent him with an army to a certain place. However, during that time, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed away. Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him, "What were the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) orders to you?" He replied, "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had ordered me to attack "Abna" in the morning and set it on fire".

حضرت اسامہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے انہیں کسی جانب لشکر دے کر روانہ فرمایا تھا لیکن اسی دوران نبی کریم ﷺ کا وصال ہوگیا حضرت صدیق اکبر رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان سے پوچھا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے تمہیں کیا حکم دیا تھا؟ انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے مجھے حکم دیا تھا کہ میں صبح کے وقت " ابنی " پر حملہ کروں اور اسے آگ لگا دوں۔
Hazrat Usama raziallahu anhu se marvi hai ki aik martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen kisi janib lashkar dekar rawana farmaya tha lekin isi dauran Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka wisal hogaya. Hazrat Siddique Akbar raziallahu anhu ne unse poocha ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne tumhen kya hukum diya tha? Unhon ne arz kiya ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujhe hukum diya tha ki main subah ke waqt "Abni" par hamla karoon aur use aag laga doon.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى , حَدَّثَنِي صَالِحُ أبى الْأَخْضَرِ , حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ , عَنْ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ أُسَامَةَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ وَجَّهَهُ وِجْهَةً , فَقُبِضَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَسَأَلَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , مَا الَّذِي عَهِدَ إِلَيْكَ؟ قَالَ: " عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ أَنْ أُغِيرَ عَلَى أُبْنَى صَبَاحًا , ثُمَّ أُحَرِّقَ" .
