Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21843
Hazrat Ibn Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever takes a false oath to unlawfully take a Muslim's property, he will meet Allah in that state, and Allah will be displeased with him." Upon hearing this, Hazrat Ash'ath (may Allah be pleased with him) said that this guidance was revealed in an incident that happened to him. The incident was that there was some shared land between me and a Jew, who denied my share. I brought him to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked me, "Do you have witnesses?" I replied in the negative. The Prophet (peace be upon him) then said to the Jew, "Take an oath." I expressed my concern that the Jew might take a false oath and take away my property. Upon this, Allah revealed the verse until the end: "Those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their oaths for a small price..."

حضرت ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا جو شخص جھوٹی قسم کھا کر کسی مسلمان کا مال ہتھیالے وہ اللہ سے اس حال میں ملاقات کرے گا اللہ اس سے ناراض ہوگا یہ سن کر حضرت اشعث رضی اللہ عنہ فرمانے لگے کہ یہ ارشاد میرے واقعے میں نازل ہوا تھا جس کی تفصیل یہ ہے کہ میرے اور ایک یہودی کے درمیان کچھ زمین مشترک تھی یہودی میرے حصے کا منکر ہوگا میں اسے نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں لے آیا نبی کریم ﷺ نے مجھ سے فرمایا کیا تمہارے پاس گواہ ہیں؟ میں نے عرض کیا نہیں بنی کریم ﷺ نے یہودی سے فرمایا کہ تم قسم کھاؤ، میں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! یہ تو قسم کھا کر میرا مال لے جائے گا، اس پر اللہ نے یہ آیت آخر تک نازل فرمائی کہ " جو لوگ اللہ کے وعدے اور اپنی قسم کو معمولی سی قیمت کے عوض بیچ دیتے ہیں۔۔۔۔
Hazrat Ibn Masood Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya jo shakhs jhooti qasam kha kar kisi musalman ka maal hathya le woh Allah se is haal mein mulaqat karega Allah us se naraz hoga ye sun kar Hazrat Ashas Raziallahu Anhu farmane lage ki ye irshad mere waqeye mein nazil hua tha jis ki tafseel ye hai ki mere aur ek yahood ke darmiyaan kuch zameen mushtak thi yahood mere hisse ka munkir hoga main use Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein le aya Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujh se farmaya kya tumhare pass gawah hain main ne arz kiya nahin Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne yahood se farmaya ki tum qasam khao main ne arz kiya ya Rasulullah ye to qasam kha kar mera maal le jayega is par Allah ne ye ayat aakhir tak nazil farmai ki jo log Allah ke wade aur apni qasam ko mamooli si qeemat ke awaz bech dete hain
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ , عَنْ كُرْدُوسٍ , عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ صَبْرًا لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ وَهُوَ فِيهَا كَاذِبٌ , لَقِيَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَهُوَ أَجْذَمُ" .
