Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21862
It is narrated on the authority of Khuzaimah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A traveler can wipe over his socks for three days and nights, and a resident for one day and one night."

حضرت خزیمہ بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ فرماتے تھے کہ مسافر آدمی موزوں پر تین راتوں تک مسح کرسکتا ہے اور مقیم آدمی ایک دن اور ایک رات۔
Hazrat Khuzaima bin Sabit (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) farmate the ke musafir aadmi mozon par teen raaton tak masah kar sakta hai aur muqeem aadmi ek din aur ek raat.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , عَنْ سُفْيَانَ , عَنْ حَمَّادٍ , وَمَنْصُورٍ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ , عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ , قَالَ: " جَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثًا , وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً" .
